I had originally thought of knitting it in a solid colour, but in the end I managed to pick 7 yummy colours for a very subtle (I hope) gradation of colour from cream to the deepest purple. I am using the recommended Peruvian Collection Highland Wool from Elann in natural, rose pink, orchid pink, lotus blossom, grape, aubergine, and eggplant.
It's real quick (the start anyway) and fun to knit and I can't beleive how far I've gotten after just a few hours. Okay I realise that the rows just get longer and longer from here on in, but still! After Jujube's interminable blanket, a cool quickie is just what the knittin' doctor ordered. Yippie!

ReplyDeleteIt looks great. It will be a while before I get around to making one so I hope there are some other slow pokes in the knitalong!

ReplyDeleteThat pinwheel cardigan is just gorgeous in those colors. Is it the one that the lady on Fun Knits has knitted up. She has a picture of an adult one modelled by her daughter on it. They just look so good and yours will too. I cant wait to see more colors.
ReplyDeleteOh, your Pinwheel looks so great already, I'm impressed by how neatly and evenly you knit! And the colors you choose for it are so enchanting, I absolutely love them!
